The owners had purchased a property with a charming pair of late 19th century cottages (and a more recent garage apartment) in one of Galveston’s historic districts which were in need rehabilitation and code compliance. The front porch of the house closest to the street needed to be repaired while maintaining the historic detail as required by the City of Galveston in historic districts and historically designated buildings. The clients also wanted to connect the cottages and the garage apartment with a multi-leveled deck.
